So i got an iphone and made some videos, and decided to try some rotoscoping.

Sylvain chomet study

Been studying Sylvain Chomet, and attempted to design a character i his quirky french style. I particularly like the attention he has to anatomy and line quality with such exaggerated characters. I made a rugby player, based losely on Lawrence Dilaglio. Not sure its very successful as a Chomet study. May produce a different character.

Concept art

For our final term of second year we have to develop a film pitch. I f good enough it could get made in our third year. Been working hard on mine, won't give too much away but here are some conceptual piecfes I have done, to show the character and his environment.

Above is the guy in his space ship. Below you can see earlier versions where he sits inside a tree, but it looked too much like that film "The Fountain," which is a great film that I have too much pride in visually ripping off.

Conto Girl

Been doing some studies of Bridgeman anatomy books, and then applying the blocked construction style to my life drawing today.
